Paul & Willie "Live on Highway 55" CD Release Party @ The Dakota

  • The Dakota Jazz Club & Restaurant

Join Willie & Paul as they celebrate the release of their first recording "Live on Highway 55."  A batch of songs that have been etched into the collective consciousness as seminal hits, and then diminished by overexposure and karaoke indignity; and cover art that evokes the nostalgia of getting kicks on Route 66.  On this new release, Metsa and Walker alchemize these elements into an entirely fresh and joyful musical road trip.  It's just Willie's voice and Paul's guitar, great songs and a bounty of inspiration and soul - the result is the rediscovery of two rich talents and a tribute to the depth of a semi-modern chapter in the American songbook.  Tickets are only $10 and are available thru the Dakota's website or at the door.

Paul & Willie perform @ Liz Cumming's Benefit at Wilebski's

  • Wilebski's Blues Saloon

Singer, songwriter and keyboardist LIZ CUMMINGS was diagnosed with an aggressive form of dementia in August of 2012.  Liz wants a chance to see the many musicians and fans that she's come to know and love in the Twin Cities over the past two decades.  Paul & Willie will join the Prophets of Peace, High & Mighty, Maurice Jacox & Friends, the Dee Miller Band and Who Nu to celebrate our dear friend Liz.  This show is a fundraiser to help Liz and her family out with the cost of her care.  There is a suggested donation of $10, but if you don't have the cash come anyway and share the love!  Doors are at noon, music from 1 pm until 7 pm.....
